Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 June 2026

1. About the service

CVlia is provided by CVlia AS, org. no. 937 879 458, Oslo, Norway. CVlia is an AI-powered platform for screening and ranking candidates (CVs and applications) for Norwegian businesses. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Account and use

  • You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your login credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for the content (CVs, job descriptions, etc.) you upload.
  • The service must only be used for lawful recruitment activities.
  • Misuse, including attempts to circumvent usage limits or harm the service, may result in account suspension.

3. Subscriptions and payment

  • CVlia offers a free plan and paid subscriptions (Starter, Pro, Business).
  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time via the customer portal — the subscription remains active for the period already paid.
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice to existing customers.
  • We do not provide refunds for subscription periods already billed, except as required by Norwegian law.

4. Data processing and candidate data

When you upload candidate data (CVs, applications) to CVlia, your company is the data controller for that data, and CVlia processes it as a data processor on your behalf. You are responsible for ensuring that the collection and upload of candidate data complies with applicable data protection rules (GDPR). See our privacy policy for more information.

5. AI-based results

CVlia uses AI to read and rank CVs based on relevance to a given job. The results are a decision-support tool and must not be used as the sole basis for hiring decisions. You remain responsible for the final hiring process and for ensuring compliance with employment and anti-discrimination law.

6. Availability and liability

CVlia provides the service "as is" and makes reasonable efforts to ensure stable operation, but does not guarantee 100% uptime. CVlia is not liable for indirect losses, loss of profit, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, to the extent permitted by Norwegian law.

7. Intellectual property

All content, design and software related to CVlia belongs to CVlia AS. You retain ownership of your own data (job descriptions, CVs and applications you upload).

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time. CVlia may terminate or suspend accounts in case of breach of these terms, with reasonable notice where possible.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes shall first be sought resolved amicably, and otherwise brought before the ordinary Norwegian courts, with Oslo as the legal venue.
